Sondura
Sondura

Formed by Tom and his younger brother, guitarist Jack, Sondura have the songs, the sound and the dedication to become the next big British rock band of the 21st century. Propelled furiously along by the air-tight rhythm section of bassist Steve Dillon and drummer Fred Green, the London-based quartet have struck upon a uniquely powerful and accessible signature sound that combines the crushing, belligerent sonic might of Black Album-era Metallica with the incisive radio-friendly sensibilities of Nickelback and the edgy verve of Hundred Reasons; a fresh and invigorating collision of styles, custom-built to send Sondura the name means hard sound - rocketing from the enervating slog of the UK toilet circuit to the realms of bona fide rock stardom.

Godsized

GodsizedGodsized are four like-minded musicians with one main ambition in mind – channelling everything they have into creating heavy, groove based hard rock culminating in powerful, dynamic live shows.

After solidifying the bands’ line-up in late 2008 the band quickly established a name for themselves on the live circuit. The band has spent 2009 alternating between the road and working on new material – keeping the hooks huge and the riffs even bigger.

In August 2008, the band headed into the studio to commence work on their E.P; “Brothers in Arms” with producer Mark Mynett. The EP was mastered in L.A by Brian Gardner (Alterbridge, Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold).

Leaving in their wake a trail of blown speakers, smoking amps and dilapitated engine parts Godsized are a focussed, powerhouse of a band determined to spread their music across the UK and beyond.

Ruins of Earth

Ruins of EarthHaving only been in the public eye since January 2009, Ruins of Earth have already played over 60 shows, including 2 UK tours with the likes of Viatrophy and Shadow Law. The band was formed by guitarists Daniel Smith and Andrew Wilson, who were soon met by drummer Thomas Brooker, creating the foundations of what would later become Ruins of Earth. The current line up was finalized by vocalist Colin Russell and new bassist Fred McCauley. Their long anticipated debut EP 'Ashes of the Ocean' is now finally available (as of the 21.01.10) featuring 5 tracks of technically tinged thrash metal with brutal breakdowns and soaring melodic passages. The band are set to destroy the UK with their devastating live show in support of this new release, which is sure to pave the way for Ruins of Earth to deliver a shockwave amongst the overcrowded metal scene.

Circles

CirclesThe band includes Colin Parkinson — Bass & Vocals (who released vendetta with the dead relatives on universal records in 2002). Drew Lowe — Guitar & Backing vocals and Lucas van Rensburg VIII — Drums & Backing vocals. Colin and Drew are actually cousins and Lucas is a mate of theirs.

Although the band are a three pice they don’t sound like it, the sound that they produce is reminiscant of Muse, it just resonates through the speakers and fills the room with catchy, melodic and anthem sounding tunes. The songs are well worth a listen and the musicianship on them is superb especially the solo on make it on my own.

The songs have a laid back feel to them, although at times the band crank up the energy and the result is brilliant. The band have an amazing chemistry, possibly helped that two thirds of them are related.
